| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá analýzou vybraných dopadů Marshallova plánu na ekonomiku a hospodářskou politiku Velké Británie v letech 1948-1955. Hlavním cílem práce je ověření platnosti vědecké hypotézy: Hospodářská pomoc v rámci Marshallova plánu měla významný pozitivní dopad na růst britské ekonomiky. Práce nejprve analyzuje, zda tato hospodářská pomoc ovlivnila růst produkce ve Velké Británii a zda ovlivnila její celkový hospodářský růst. Následně mapuje dopady Marshallova plánu na vybrané oblasti hospodářské politiky. Mezi tyto oblasti patří analýza dopadů Marshallova plánu na měnovou politiku, fiskální politiku, dluhovou politiku a politiku zahraničního obchodu Velké Británie. Hlavním závěrem práce je nepotvrzení platnosti stanovené hypotézy. Autor se domnívá, že hospodářská pomoc Marshallova plánu neměla významný pozitivní dopad na růst britské ekonomiky. Význam Marshallova plánu spočíval především v dodávání nezbytných surovin a ve vzájemné spolupráci zúčastněných států. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the analysis of selected impacts of the Marshall Plan on the economy and economic policy of Great Britain in the years 1948-1955. The main goal of the thesis is to verify the validity of the scientific hypothesis: Economic aid of the Marshall Plan had a significant positive impact on the growth of the British economy. The thesis firstly analyses whether this economic aid affected the growth of production in Great Britain and whether it affected overall economic growth of Great Britain. Subsequently thesis maps the effects of the Marshall plan on selected areas of economic policy. These areas include an analysis of the effects of the Marshall plan on monetary policy, fiscal policy, debt policy and foreign trade policy of Great Britain. The main conclusion of this thesis is the failure of confirming the validity of the scientific hypothesis. The author believes, that the economic aid of the Marshall plan did not have a significant positive impact on the growth of the British economy. The importance of the Marshall Plan consisted mainly in the supply of necessary food and raw materials and in the mutual cooperation of the participating countries. |
