| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem nadnárodních regulací na vývoj tabákového průmyslu ve vybraných ekonomikách, konkrétně Malawi a Zimbabwe. Důraz je kladen především na vliv Rámcové úmluvy Světové zdravotnické organizace o kontrole tabáku (FCTC), což je hlavním cílem této práce. Na základě veřejně dostupných dat a studií je analyzován tabákový průmysl v obou ekonomikách před a po vzniku Úmluvy FCTC. Vedlejším cílem je vymezení dalších podstatných vlivů na vývoj tabákového průmyslu v těchto vybraných ekonomikách. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the impacts of transnational regulations on the chosen economies of Malawi and Zimbabwe. The greatest emphasis is put on the impacts of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) adopted by WHO which is also the main aim of the thesis. The tobacco industry is analyzed within both economies before and after the adoption of FCTC based on available data and studies. The secondary aim is to find other important influences on the development of tobacco industry within these economies. |
