| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá diverzifikací ekonomiky Ázerbájdžánu. Země se vyznačuje vysokou závislostí na exportu ropy a zemního plynu, což se je rizikové z důvodu kolísavých cen ropy na světovém trhu a omezenému množství nerostného bohatství. Cílem bakalářské práce je zanalyzovat diverzifikační strategii Ázerbájdžánu a ekonomickou situaci v zemi. Rozvoj malých a středně velkých podniků je považován za klíčový pro diverzifikační strategie země. Tyto podniky mohou zajistit více pracovních míst a zajistit vyšší přidanou hodnotu. Aktuálně počet malých a středně velkých podniků v Ázerbájdžánu leží pod průměrnými hodnotami zemí OECD. Významný potenciál pro rozvoj země má cestovní ruch. Přestože vláda investovala velké částky do tohoto odvětví, nebylo plně rozvinuto. Primárním důvodem nízké návštěvnosti země je napjatá situace mezi Ázerbájdžánem a Arménií, kvůli které se země pro turisty nezdá bezpečná. Měl by být kladen důraz na to, jak tuto výzvu překonat a zvýšit tak lukrativnost Ázerbájdžánu pro turisty. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor's thesis deals with the diversification of the economy of Azerbaijan. The country is characterized by a high dependence on oil and natural gas exports, which is risky due to fluctuating oil prices on the world market and a limited amount of mineral wealth. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the diversification strategy of Azerbaijan and the economic situation in the country. The development of small and medium-sized enterprises is considered key to the country's diversification strategies. These businesses can provide more jobs and ensure higher added value. Currently, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises in Azerbaijan is below the average values of OECD countries. The tourism industry has significant potential for the country's development. Although the government has invested large sums in this industry, it has not been fully developed. The primary reason for the country's low visitor numbers is the tense situation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which makes the country seem unsafe for tourists. Emphasis should be placed on how to overcome this challenge and thus increase the profitability of Azerbaijan for tourists. |
