First, motivational factors are explored using a literature review of primary academic sources. Overall, six motivational factors are identified: financial gains, third-party influence, technology and ideology, personal factors, regret, and the macroeconomic environment. With individual motivational factors, the effects of demographic data are also checked in the practical part. The factors are verified in the practical part using structural equation modeling with the SAM approach using data from a questionnaire survey. From the resulting data, financial gains, technology and ideology, and regret emerged as significant influencing factors in Gen Z investing in cryptocurrencies. |
