| Abstract: | Tato práce zkoumá Weberův koncept železné klece na sociální síti Instagram a také se zabývá tím, jaké prvky mcdonaldizace se do něj integrovaly. Pomocí kombinace auto-etnografie a auto-netnografie, kterou jsem doplnila o abstinenci, popisuji své zkušenosti s používáním Instagramu. Tento výzkum ukazuje, že aspekty mcdonaldizace, které jsem na Instagramu našla, mě vedou k tomu, že se k jeho používání vracím. Na základě této zkušenosti a úvah jiných autorů ohledně snahy o racionalizaci, docházím k závěru, že racionalizační aspekty mcdonaldizace nás uzavírají do železné klece, což vede k iracionalitě a dehumanizaci. |

| Abstract: | This work explores Weber's concept of the iron cage on the social network Instagram and also looks at what elements of mcdonaldization have been integrated into it. Using a combination of auto-ethnography and auto-netnography, supplemented by abstinence, I describe my experiences of using Instagram. This research shows that the aspects of mcdonaldization I found on Instagram lead me to return to its use. Based on this experience and other writers' reflections on the pursuit of rationalization, I conclude that the rationalizing aspects of mcdonaldization lock us into an iron cage, leading to irrationality and dehumanization. |
