| Abstract: | S rostoucím zájmem o kryptoměny a decentralizované finance (DeFi) roste také počet podvodů, které se v tomto prostředí odehrávají. Podvody se stávají stále propracovanějšími a často je není jednoduché odhalit. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na jeden z druhů podvodů, a to na rug pull. V teoretické části jsou definovány potřebné teoretické termíny, které slouží k pochopení problematiky rug pullů nebo souvisí s touto oblastí. V teoretické části je využita metoda analýzy dokumentů k získání potřebných znalostí o tématu. Dále byl také proveden řízený rozhovor s advokátem Mgr. Petrem Kučerou ze společnosti Blockchain Legal, advokátní kancelář s. r. o. za účelem zjištění právní situace rug pullu v ČR, ale i ve světě. Hlavním cílem této práce je objasnit, jak rug pull funguje, probíhá a proč se lidé stávají obětí rug pullu. Autor využívá metod kvalitativního výzkumu. Autor zkoumá, popisuje, objevuje a zjišťuje skutečnosti, které souvisí s jednotlivými rug pully a s jejich průběhem. Každý jednotlivý projekt je podrobně popsán a je porozuměno jeho důležitým detailům a faktorům. Důraz je kladen na porozumění a pozorování chování zakladatelů projektu a na jejich komunikaci s investory, také na pozorování samotného chování investorů v jednotlivých fázích projektu a na odcizené prostředky. Využito je také řízených rozhovorů, pro pochopení důvodů, které vedou investory k investicím do takových projektů. Analyzováno je pět konkrétních rug pullů. Projekty Thodex, Squid Game, DEFI100, Snowdog DAO a FTX. V závěru práce se nachází diskuse nad výsledky práce a seznam možností včasné identifikace a obrany pro potencionální investory. Nechybí kapitola o limitech bakalářské práce a závěr, který nabízí shrnutí celé práce. |

| Abstract: | As cryptocurrencies and decentralized financing become more popular, so do the number of scams. The scams are getting better and often it is not easy to detect them. This bachelor thesis describes a specific type of fraud - rug pull. In the theoretical part you will find important definitions that are crucial for understanding rug pulls or are related to this field in some way. In the theoretical part, the method of document analysis is used to gain the necessary knowledge about a topic. There is also a structured interview with lawyer Petr Kučera M.A. from law firm Blockchain legal Ltd. to learn about the legal situation of rug pulls in the Czech Republic or even internationally. The main goal of this thesis is to clarify how rug pull works, how it happens, and why people become victims of rug pull. The author uses qualitative research methods. The author describes, investigates, discovers, observes, and finds facts related to rug pulls and how they happen. Each project is described in detail and understood in its most important details and different stages. The focus is on understanding and observing the behaviour of project founders and their communication with investors, as well as observing investors at certain stages of the project and on stolen funds. The author also uses structured interviews to understand the reasons why investors decide to invest in these projects. The author analysed five specific projects. As Thodex, Squid Game, DEFI100, Snowdog DAO and FTX. The discussion of the results can be found in a conclusion of this thesis. The author has also provided a list of early detection and defense options for potential investors. There is also a chapter on the limitations of this thesis and a conclusion that summarizes the entire work. |
