| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit, jak pandemie Covid-19 ovlivnila finanční strukturu obchodních společností z oboru stravování a pohostinství v České republice za sledované období 2018 – 2021. Dílčím cílem je ověření vývoje ziskovosti sledovaných firem v souvislosti se změnami v jejich finanční struktuře. Literární rešerše se zaměřuje na vymezení problematiky a jednotlivých složek finanční struktury. Zároveň jsou stručně vymezeny základní teorie kapitálové struktury. Další část se zabývá diskusí pandemického vývoje a determinanty finanční struktury v době pandemie. Na základě dat z databáze Albertina je provedena analýza finanční struktury. Cíle jsou naplněny prostřednictvím vertikální a horizontální analýzy, dále také pomocí testování hypotéz ověřených párovým t-testem pro střední hodnotu a párovým Wilcoxonovým testem. Z výzkumu je patrné, že se v době pandemie výrazně měnila struktura nerozděleného zisku a hospodářského výsledku běžného období. Ostatní složky finanční struktury vykazují jen nepatrné změny. Pandemie výrazně ovlivnila mikro podniky, naopak střední podniky vůbec. Velké a malé podniky byly ovlivněny jen částečně. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the master thesis is to evaluate how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the financial structure of the catering and hospitality companies in the Czech Republic for the period 2018-2021. A sub-objective is to verify the evolution of profitability of the companies in relation to changes in their financial structure. The literary research focuses on defining the issue and individual components of the financial structure. At the same time, the basic theories of capital structure are briefly defined. The next section discusses the pandemic development and determinants of financial structure during the pandemic. An analysis of the financial structure is conducted based on data from the Albertina database. The objectives are met through vertical and horizontal analysis, as well as hypothesis testing verified by paired t-test for mean and paired Wilcoxon test. The research shows that the structure of retained earnings and current period profit changed significantly during the pandemic. The other components of the financial structure show little change. The pandemic significantly affected micro enterprises, while medium-sized enterprises were not affected at all. Large and small enterprises were only partially affected. |
