| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce sleduje dopad pandemie Covid-19 na bankovní sektor v České republice. Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaký měla pandemie vliv na finanční stabilitu a výkonnost bankovního sektoru jako celku. Zároveň sleduje dopad pandemie i na konkrétní bankovní instituci. V rámci rešerše jsou shrnuty základní faktory ovlivňující finanční stabilitu a výkonnost bank společně s přijatými regulatorními kroky k podpoře jejich stability. V aplikační části jsou zkoumány dopady pandemie na výkonnost a zdraví úvěrového portfolia bankovního sektoru, tak i pěti nejvýznamnějších českých bank. Bylo zjištěno, že pandemie měla významný vliv na ziskovost a úrokovou marži bank. Zároveň bylo zjištěno, že pandemie měla větší dopad na zdraví portfolia úvěrů nefinančních podniků, něž na portfolio úvěrů poskytnutých fyzickým osobám. V závěru práce byl sledován vliv pandemie na bankovní instituci MONETA Money Bank. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis examines the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the banking sector in the Czech Republic. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how the pandemic affected the financial stability and performance of the banking sector as a whole. It also traces the impact of the pandemic on a specific banking institution. The research summarises the main factors affecting the financial stability and performance of banks together with the regulatory steps taken to support their stability. The application part examines the impact of the pandemic on the performance and health of the loan portfolio of the banking sector as well as the five most important Czech banks. It is found that the pandemic had a significant impact on banks' profitability and interest margins. It was also found that the pandemic had a greater impact on the health of the portfolio of loans to non-financial corporations than on the portfolio of loans to individuals. The paper concluded by examining the impact of the pandemic on the banking institution MONETA Money Bank. |
