Implementation of the process, organization of knowledge and operation of the Knowledge Management tool in the Center of Informatics

The thesis focuses on the implementation of a knowledge management tool for organizing and managing knowledge at the Informatics Centre, with a focus on practical verification in the creation of knowledge models. The first practical example of knowledge management is the design of the folder structure and organization of knowledge in the Aphinit tool based on the competencies of the University of Economics (VSE), which include the rectorate, faculties (departments), and university-wide workplaces. The second example of usage is the development of the GDPR Registry knowledge model by mapping the relationships of legally classified information to activities and processes at VSE, as well as applying it to the relevant information systems managed by the Informatics Centre. The thesis also includes an analysis of the current state of knowledge management through a questionnaire survey of employees at the Center of Information Technology. It continues with a literature review of significant authors in knowledge management, the process of its implementation, its benefits, knowledge classification, and the phenomenon of knowledge debt. Additionally, alternative knowledge management tools are presented, with a particular focus on the Aphinit tool. The overall output of the thesis is the practical application of knowledge management tools for organizing and managing knowledge at the Center of Information Technology, as well as the application of acquired knowledge in promoting more efficient information sharing, ensuring up-to-date contextual information, minimizing knowledge debt, and enabling effective knowledge linking across different process roles and individuals.
