| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na vývoj postavení žen v islámském světě s důrazem na Írán a vliv islámské revoluce roku 1979. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit, jakým způsobem revoluce ovlivnila práva a postavení žen v této zemi. K dosažení cíle je stanoven následující postup: zasazení ženské otázky do historického kontextu, prozkoumání mezinárodních dokumentů a jejich vztah k právům a povinnostem státu Írán, vymezení specifických rysů islámské kultury a porovnání ženských práv před a po islámské revoluci. Výzkum vedu kvalitativní metodou v podobě případové studie zaměřené na Írán. Čerpám zejména z odborné literatury, výzkumných studií, dokumentů o lidských právech a dále ze zpravodajských zdrojů. Výsledkem je zhodnocení vlivu islámské revoluce na práva a postavení žen v Íránu a identifikace změn, které tato událost přinesla. Hlavní výzkumná otázka zní: Jaké změny přinesla islámská revoluce pro ženy v Íránu? Teoretická část práce zahrnuje historický, mezinárodní, kulturní a právní kontext postavení žen v islámském světě. Empirická část se skládá z analýzy postavení žen před, v průběhu a po islámské revoluci. V závěru bakalářské práce hodnotím dopady íránské revoluce jako přelomové, zároveň však konstatuji, že nově nastolený režim ženám omezil dosavadní práva a svobody, a revoluce tedy mnoho demokratických a liberálních změn nepřinesla. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis focuses on the development of women's position in the Islamic world, with an emphasis on Iran and the influence of the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate how the revolution has affected the rights and position of women in Iran. To achieve this objective, the following approach is set: placing the women's question in a historical context, examining international documents and their relation to the rights and obligations of the state of Iran, defining the specific features of Islamic culture, and comparing women's rights before and after the Islamic Revolution. The research is conducted using a qualitative method in the form of a case study focused on Iran. The thesis draws mainly on scholarly literature, research studies, human rights documents, and news sources. The result is an evaluation of the impact of the Islamic Revolution on the rights and position of women in Iran and the identification of the changes that this event has brought. The main research question is: What changes did the Islamic Revolution bring for women in Iran? The theoretical part of the thesis includes the historical, international, cultural, and legal context of the position of women in the Islamic world. The empirical part consists of an analysis of the position of women before, during, and after the Islamic Revolution. In the conclusion of my bachelor's thesis, I assess the impact of the Iranian revolution as groundbreaking, but at the same time I observe that the newly established regime has limited women's rights and freedoms, and thus the revolution has not brought many democratic and liberal changes. |
