| Abstract: | Tato práce pojednává o trhu s kávou, konkrétně pak o tom vietnamském a zaměřuje se na jeho vývoj v souvislosti se změnami klimatu. V práci si kladu výzkumnou otázku, zda je Vietnam připraven čelit hrozbám, které tyto změny přinesou a analyzuji na kolik je v tomto odvětví konkurenceschopný do budoucna. Vycházím především ze světových studíí zabývajících se touto problematikou, ze zpráv Mezinárodní organizace pro kávu, International Trade Centre, dále pak ze studií Světové banky, Organizace spojených národů, ale také ze zpráv vietnamských institucí. Jako výzkumnou metodu jsem zvolila SWOT analýzu pro vyhodnocení silných a slabých stránek Vietnamu v rámci kávové produkce. Dále pak hrozeb, které zemi vyvstávají z klimatických změn a v neposlední řadě příležitostí, které se zemi naskytnou, pokud včas zareaguje. Na základě analýzy jsem vyhodnotila závěr o budoucím vývoji vietnamského kávového odvětví - to je, že toto odvětví bude konkurenceschopné do budoucna, ale pouze za předpokladu, že vláda podpoří rozvojové projekty, zlepší vzdělanost, environmentální povědomí, sociální zabezpečení, implementuje udržitelné zemědělské metody a reformuje své zemědělství. |

| Abstract: | This work discusses the coffee market, specifically the Vietnamese one, and focuses on its development in connection with climate change. In my work, the research question I posed is whether Vietnam is ready to face the threats that these changes will bring and analyze how competitive it will be in this industry in the future. I based my findings primarily on global studies dealing with this issue, on reports from the International Coffee Organization, International Trade Centre, then on studies by the World Bank, the United Nations, and also on reports from Vietnamese institutions. As a research method, I chose a SWOT analysis to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of Vietnam in coffee production. Then I analyzed the threats to the country arising from climate change and, last but not least, the opportunities that will arise for the country if it reacts in time. Based on the analysis, I evaluated the conclusion about the future development of the Vietnamese coffee industry - that is, this industry will be competitive in the future, but only on the condition that the government supports development projects, increases education, environmental awareness, social security, implements sustainable agricultural methods and reforms their agriculture. |
