Successful transformation from local to global for an airline

My thesis will raise the topic of successful globalization for airlines. In other words, there will be described which strategies airlines should use to transform from local companies to global ones as well as which tactics are doubtful to be helpful in reaching success. The actuality of the thesis can be proved by the current number of airlines that are trying to expand on the global level and the stagnation in the aviation industry globalization because of the pandemic. This paper aims to answer the question of what should local airlines do to overcome the difficulties of expansion and successfully attain a stable and profitable position on the international level within the high competition. Qualitative and case-study research methods will be used to conduct the goal of the thesis. To implement the qualitative method for the research the questionnaire will be created aiming to get the insights of the regular travelers mostly from Europe who are using airlines’ services often. The result will show which criteria impact the decision of passengers in choosing the airline and what keeps them satisfied with their choice. The case-study method will be used to understand the reasons for the success of already globalized airlines. The information about strategies and tactics that helped them to succeed will be discovered. Moreover, the attention will be focused also on the mistakes that airline companies were doing during the internalization and how to avoid them for the airlines that are only planning to expand.
