| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá ekonomickými a hospodářskými dopady zákazu dovozu ruského uhlí do zemí Evropské unie, který byl přijat v reakci na zahájení ruské invaze na Ukrajinu. První kapitola pojednává o vlastnostech a rozdělení uhlí, jeho těžbě a výskytu ve světě a zmiňuje specifika obchodování s touto komoditou. Druhá kapitola zkoumá současný stav energetiky Evropské unie, včetně jejího energetického mixu, hodnotí, do jaké míry jsou země Evropské unie soběstačné v produkci uhlí a zabývá se Green dealem a snahami Evropské unie o dosažení uhlíkové neutrality. V závěru jsou hodnoceny možnosti náhrady ruského uhlí a související náklady a komplikace. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the economic impacts of the Russian coal embargo, imposed by the European commission in the reaction to the Russian invasion to Ukraine. The first chapter deals with the classification of coal, its properties, mining and deposits. The specifics of coal trade are also mentioned. In the second chapter, the current condition of the European union’s energy industry (including the energy mix), the self-sufficiency of the EU countries in coal production, Green Deal and the European union’s aim to reach a so-called carbon neutrality until 2050 are analysed. In the third chapter, potential substitutes to Russian coal and related costs and issues are discussed. |
