It explores the establishment of the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) following the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) in 2005, which aimed to address the longstanding civil war in Sudan. The paper discusses the challenges encountered by the UN in deploying troops, the lack of participation from developed countries, resource shortages, non-cooperation from conflicting parties, and other obstacles that have hindered the mission's effectiveness.
