| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit motivy, které vedou zájemce o práci k hledání si zaměstnání v odvětví hotelnictví a důvody, pro které naopak zaměstnanci z hotelnictví odcházejí. V teoretické části práce je vymezena motivace z psychologického hlediska, dále je zde charakterizován obor hotelnictví včetně vymezení specifik pro práci v tomto oboru a vymezení požadavků na zaměstnance. Teoretická část práce se též zabývá dříve provedenými výzkumy s podobným předmětem výzkumu. V praktické části jsou popsány výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které bylo provedeno pro naplnění cíle této diplomové práce. Do dotazníkového šetření byli zapojeni jak aktuální, tak i bývalí zaměstnanci hotelů. Tím byla zjištěna motivace a demotivace lidí k práci v tomto odvětví. Bylo zjištěno, že především pracovní podmínky a pracovní prostředí v hotelnictví motivují zaměstnance k práci v tomto oboru. Zároveň výzkum ukázal, že nejvýznamnějším důvodem pro odchod zaměstnanců z hotelnictví je nesoulad mezi pracovním a soukromým životem, který je pro tento obor poměrně typický. Výsledky výzkumu mohou sloužit manažerům či vlastníkům hotelů pro zamyšlení nad touto problematikou. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the thesis was to find out the motives that lead job seekers to seek employment in the hotel industry and the reasons why employees leave the hotel industry. In the theoretical part of the thesis, motivation is defined from a psychological point of view, then the hotel industry is characterized, including defining the specifics for working in this industry and defining the requirements for employees. The theoretical part of the thesis also discusses previously conducted research with a similar research subject. The practical part describes the results of the questionnaire survey that was conducted to fulfil the aim of this thesis. Both current and former hotel employees were involved in the questionnaire survey. This was done to find out the motivation and demotivation of people to work in this industry. It was found that mainly working conditions and working environment in the hotel industry motivate employees to work in this industry. At the same time, the research showed that the most important reason for employees to leave the hotel industry is the mismatch between work and private life, which is quite typical for this industry. The results of the research can serve as a useful tool for hotel managers or owners to reflect on this issue. |
