| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá využitím big data a s nimi spojených technologií ve velkých mezinárodních společnostech. Cílem práce je diskutovat big data problematiku a poznat její využití ve vybraných společnostech. Literární rešerše je věnována přehledu big data technologií, možnostem jejich využití, výhodám a rizikům, které tato technologie přináší. Dále je literární rešerše zaměřena na trendy založené na big datech a na srovnání využití big dat ve vybraných členských státech EU. Praktická část je soustředěna na zpracování informací získaných formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty z vybraných společností. Témata v praktické části jsou zaměřena na zdroje dat, účely a oblasti zpracování big dat, ochranu dat, rizika a příležitosti, která big data přináší. Dále byli respondenti dotazovaní na firemní kulturu a rozhodování, využívání trendů založených na big data technologiích, přizpůsobení GDPR a budoucí rozvoj společností v této oblasti. Zjištěním praktické části je, že dotazované společnosti využívají big data, avšak na různé úrovni a s odlišnými přístupy. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with big data usage and related technologies in large international companies. The aim of this thesis is to discuss big data topic and to learn about its usage in selected companies. Literature review deals with the overview of big data technologies, possibilities of their use, advantages and risks of this technology. Furthermore, the literature review is focused on trends based on big data and comparison of big data usage in chosen EU states. The practical part is focused on processing information gained from semi-structured interviews with respondents from selected companies. Topics in the practical part are aimed on data sources, purposes and areas of big data processing, data protection, threats and opportunities that big data brings. Respondents were also asked about company culture and decision making, using of trends based on big data technologies, GDPR adaptation and future company development in this area. The finding of the practical part is that the interviewed companies use big data, but at different levels and with different approaches. |
