| Abstract: | This thesis was written to delve deeper into global iron ore trade with a specific focus on Australia and China as the largest exporter and importer of the commodity. The theoretical background of this thesis will explore iron ore trade holistically. It will look at iron ore pricing, imports, exports, logistics costs and environmental preservation in iron ore trade. Data was gathered through an online questionnaire, which asked iron ore mining professionals about past and future trends of the commodity. Results indicate future price increases of iron ore alongside further barriers which will increase difficulties for companies to produce this commodity. |

| Abstract: | Tato práce byla napsána s cílem ponořit se hlouběji do globálního obchodu se železnou rudou se specifickým zaměřením na Austrálii a Čínu jako největšího vývozce a dovozce této komodity. Teoretická východiska této práce prozkoumají obchod se železnou rudou holisticky. Zaměří se na ceny železné rudy, dovoz, vývoz, náklady na logistiku a ochranu životního prostředí při obchodu se železnou rudou. Data byla shromážděna prostřednictvím online dotazníku, který se dotazoval odborníků na těžbu železné rudy na minulé a budoucí trendy této komodity. Výsledky naznačují budoucí růst cen železné rudy spolu s dalšími překážkami, které zvýší potíže společností při výrobě této komodity. |
