Perspectives of Ukraine joining the EU - opportunities and risks for Ukrainian entrepreneurs

The bachelor's thesis deals with the investigation of the readiness of the Ukrainian economy to join the European Union and the evaluation of opportunities and threats for Ukrainian entrepreneurs resulting from the country's official integration into European structures. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of Ukraine's future association with the European Union on Ukrainian entrepreneurs based on a SWOT analysis. Given that Ukraine has newly acquired the status of a candidate country, the work will also focus on the state of the Ukrainian economy in terms of meeting European criteria. The first part of the work deals with the research of literary sources. Subsequently, it presents the development of established ties between Ukraine and the European Union. In the second part, the development of the Ukrainian economy is characterized. By outlining the current barriers to Ukraine's integration path, the prospects for the country's accession to the union are elaborated, and the fulfillment of the Copenhagen criteria is discussed. Within this part, the opportunities and challenges created for entrepreneurs, which the country's integration into the European Union will bring to them, are evaluated. The conclusion of the work contains the formulation of the results of the investigated issue and recommendations in connection with the future development of the integration processes of Ukraine.
