| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá situací obránců lidských práv v Egyptě se zvláštním zaměřením na jejich bezpečnost a úroveň podpory, které se jim dostává v době krize. Cílem výzkumu je odpovědět na otázku, zda je v Egyptě bezpečné být obráncem lidských práv a zda se těmto aktivistům dostává adekvátní podpory ze strany nevládních a mezivládních organizací. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol, které poskytují základ pro pochopení práce obránců lidských práv, zkoumají právní rámec jejich ochrany a prostřednictvím případových studií zkoumají bezpečnost a postavení těchto aktivistů v Egyptě. Celkově si tento výzkum klade za cíl přispět k lepšímu pochopení situace obránců lidských práv v Egyptě a problémů, kterým při své práci čelí. |

| Abstract: | This thesis examines the situation of human rights defenders in Egypt, with a particular focus on their security and the level of support they receive in times of crisis. The aim of this research is to answer the question of whether it is safe to be a human rights defender in Egypt and whether these activists receive adequate support from non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations. The thesis is divided into three chapters that provide a foundation for understanding the work of human rights defenders, explore the legal framework for their protection, and examine the security and position of these activists in Egypt through case studies. Overall, this research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the situation of human rights defenders in Egypt and the challenges they face in their work. |
