| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá zhodnocením a výzvami strukturálních reforem na španělském trhu práce. Španělsko se v posledních letech (až do příchodu pandemie Covid-19) sice těšilo ekonomickému růstu, přesto však po finanční krizi zůstalo mnoho makroekonomických nerovnováh, zejména vysoké zadlužení, nízká produktivita a vysoká nezaměstnanost (hlavně mladých lidí a žen). Vysoká nezaměstnanost je jedním ze strukturálních problémů, kterým Španělsko dlouhodobě čelí. Je způsobena strukturálními nerovnováhami na trhu práce, především dualitou pracovních smluv a pracovní legislativou (vysokým vlivem odborů) způsobující nízkou efektivitu a rigiditu pracovního trhu, nesouladem nabídky a poptávky po pracovní síle z hlediska kvalifikací a nedostatkem kvalifikované síly v technických oborech. Strukturální reformy z roku 2012 sice část strukturálních nerovnováh napravily (např. strnulost mezd a částečné snížení nezaměstnanosti), nicméně mnoho problémů a výzev stále přetrvává, což se v konečném důsledku odráží na konkurenceschopnosti španělské ekonomiky. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the assessment and challenges of the structural reforms in the Spanish labour market. Although Spain enjoyed economic growth in recent years (until the Covid-19 pandemic), many macroeconomic imbalances remained as a heritage of the infamous financial crisis, in particular high debt, low productivity and high unemployment (mainly of young people and women). High unemployment is one of the structural problems Spain has been dealing with in the long run. It is caused by structural imbalances in the labour market, primarily by the duality of contracts and labour legislation (due to the high influence of trade unions) causing low efficiency and rigidity of the labour market, a mismatch between the skills supply and demand and a lack of technically qualified labour force. Although the 2012 structural reforms helped in correcting some of the structural imbalances (e.g. reduced wage rigidity and partially reduced unemployment), many problems and challenges still persist, which has a negative impact on the competitiveness of the Spanish economy. |
