| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá využitím soft power při jednání se Severní Koreou a vliv soft power na proces denuklearizace Korejského poloostrova. Vzhledem ke zvýšené intenzitě severokorejských balistických testů se otázka bezpečnosti na Korejském poloostrově stala po roce 2017 znovu velice aktuální. Cílem práce je zhodnotit, zda využití soft power při jednání se Severní Koreou je úspěšné a identifikovat ty aspekty soft power, které jsou vůči Severní Koreji využívány nejčastěji a nejúspěšněji. Za tímto účelem byly analyzovány interakce Severní Koreji s vybranými zeměmi a v těchto interakcích byly identifikovány jednotlivé aspekty soft power. Závěrem práce je, že vybrané státy mají pouze malou možnost na Severní Koreu svou soft power působit a vzhledem k tomu, že Severní Korea je již historicky velice nespolehlivým vyjednávacím partnerem, který neplní své dojednané závazky, nebylo v procesu denuklearizace Korejského poloostrova dosaženo žádného pokroku a soft power se nejeví jako ideální nástroj jejího dosažení. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the use of soft power in negotiations with North Korea and the influence of soft power on the process of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Due to the increased intensity of North Korean ballistic tests, the issue of security on the Korean Peninsula became very relevant again in 2017. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate whether the use of soft power in negotiations with North Korea is successful and to identify those aspects of soft power that are used most often and most successfully towards North Korea. For this purpose, North Korea's interactions with selected countries were analyzed and individual aspects of soft power were identified in these interactions. The conclusion is that the selected states have only a small possibility of exerting their soft power on North Korea, and given that North Korea is historically a very unreliable negotiating partner who does not fulfill its agreed obligations, no progress has been made in the process of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and soft power does not appear to be an ideal tool for achieving it. |
