Analysis and design of Business Intelligence solution for the company JIŘÍ JIRÁNEK LEMAgroup.CZ s.r.o

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of a company and the subsequent creation of a BI solution for the company JIŘÍ JIRÁNEK LEMAgroup.CZ s.r.o., which is also the main goal of the thesis. Such solution could help the company make its operations more efficient, support corporate decision-making and data usage. The company focuses on purchase and sale, service and consulting in the field of industrial oils and lubricants used in the devices and machines of industrial businesses. The process for achieving the goal and creating the application is first to analyze the company internally and externally, so its internal environment such as its activity, IS or the state of business processes and the external environment, which is for example its current position on its market. At the end of this part, a SWOT analysis is done, looking for the company's strengths and weaknesses. After that, the company must be analyzed from the perspective of BI, which includes the analysis of the company's requirements for BI or the analysis of BI factors and more. This is followed by the definition of KPIs and other indicators, followed by the definition of individual dimensions. A dimensional model is then created, which is followed by the creation of the solution itself. After fulfilling these individual follow-up steps or goals, an application providing reports and dashboards that display the analytical outputs of the company's data was successfully created. The company evaluated the results of the thesis very positively. The company is interested in engaging the solution in the functioning of the company and using it to make its activities more efficient.
