Solution design for allocating IT company employees on the Salesforce platform

Employee allocation is one of the key supporting processes that holds a significant position in (not only) IT consulting companies. Simply put, the goal of the process is to ensure the proper assignment of employees to projects or activities, both in the long and short term, while striving to satisfy the demand for workers and meet requirements for their qualifications, timing, and volume of work. Successfully fulfilling this objective can lead to optimal utilization of human resources, which positively impacts project success and overall company performance. This process is also essential in cost management, as employee costs make up the majority of expenses for IT consulting companies. Therefore, it is important to ensure the efficient utilization of human resources with minimal waste. It goes without saying that the perspective of employees, who may have different needs and preferences, must also be considered in this process. Their allocation to projects and activities can significantly impact their satisfaction and thus the level of turnover in the company. For these reasons, it is crucial for consulting companies to devote appropriate attention to the employee allocation process. Properly setting up the process of employee allocation and its suitable technical solution can significantly contribute to the efficiency of this process. Increasing the degree of automation in the employee allocation process also allows the resource allocation manager to focus more on strategic issues rather than routine activities. The goal of the thesis is to propose a solution for this process on the Salesforce platform.
