| Abstract: | Analýza efektivnosti je v novodobé historii běžným nástrojem v mnoha odvětvích. Zkoumat výkon dané produkční jednotky je možné pomocí kombinací různých vstupů a výstupů, které slouží jako atributy pro metody analýzy obalu dat. V současnosti existuje několik metod, které slouží ke kvantifikaci výkonu, ohodnocení produkčních jednotek či odhalení slabých stránek daného zkoumaného objektu. Těmi základními a historicky prvními metodami jsou CCR a BCC model, ke kterým se postupem času přidalo několik modifikací. Tato práce stručně představuje dané metody, které jsou následně aplikovány na datový soubor obsahující statistiky jednotlivých reprezentačních týmů ze zápasů kvalifikace na Mistrovství světa ve fotbale v Kataru 2022. Cílem práce je odhalit, které z týmů využily příležitost kvalifikovat se na mistrovství světa a zda jejich taktika a výkon byly efektivní v porovnání se soupeři. Aplikace zkoumaných metod na data probíhá v doplňku pro MS Excel DEASolver a ve freeware verzi softwaru MaxDEA. Průměrně dosáhlo na efektivní hranici 4,7% týmů, nejlepších výkonů za daných podmínek dosáhla reprezentace Anglie. |

| Abstract: | Efficiency analysis is a common tool in many industries in modern history. It is possible to examine the performance of a given production unit by using combinations of various inputs and outputs that compose as attributes for data envelopment analysis methods. Currently, there are several methods that are used to quantify the performance, to rate production units or to reveal the weaknesses of a given object under study. The basic and historically first methods are the CCR and BCC models, to which several modifications have been added over time. This thesis briefly introduces the methods in question, which are then applied to a dataset containing the statistics of each national team from the qualification matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The aim of the thesis is to reveal which teams took advantage of the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup and whether their tactics and performance were effective compared to their opponents. The application of the investigated methods to the data is done in the MS Excel add-in DEASolver and in the freeware version of the MaxDEA software. On average, 4.7% of the teams reached the efficient threshold, with the best performance under the given conditions achieved by the England national team. |
