The impact of Brexit on the foreign trade of Great Britain

The presented work deals with the issue of Brexit and its various impacts on the economy of Great Britain. Attention will be paid to both an excursion into the historical context starting from the period after World War II and ending with Brexit itself, as well as to the economic profile of Great Britain or the impact of Brexit on foreign trade. Since Brexit occurred during the period when the COVID-19 pandemic also occurred, the work will also indicate the possible connections between the effects of both of these phenomena on the economy of the United Kingdom.

Předložená práce se zabývá problematikou Brexitu a jeho různými dopady na ekonomiku Velké Británie. Pozornost bude věnována jak exkurzi do historického kontextu počínaje obdobím po 2. světové válce až po samotný Brexit, tak i ekonomickému profilu Velké Británie nebo dopadu Brexitu na zahraniční obchod. Jelikož Brexit nastal v období kdy došlo ik pandemii COVID-19, práce uvede i možné souvislosti dopadů obou těchto fenoménů na ekonomiku Spojeného království.
