Process automation in the selected company

This thesis focuses on processes in a specific company and describes two projects that increase efficiency and reduce error rates through their automation. The first project deals with the creation of project documentation for photovoltaic power plants using Excel and the VBA scripting language. The second project focuses on automating the administration of financial subsidy applications for photovoltaic power plants and heat pumps using a combination of web scraping, Python and cloud services. The work also deals with deciding between the use of RPA and data integration for a given automation. RPA is a powerful tool for automating simple and straightforward projects, while data integration focuses on consolidating data and creating ETL operations that solve the automation task. The diploma thesis is structured according to projects, where the business part of the project is described first, then the architecture of the solution is presented together with the solution itself. The results of both projects confirm the importance of process automation in companies for increasing efficiency, reducing error rates and speeding up work procedures. Implementing automation using various technologies and methods can bring significant benefits that can have a positive impact on business performance and results. Overall, it can be concluded that process automation is an important tool for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of companies in the modern business environment.
