This bachelor’s thesis is devoted to the proposal and implementation of web application for a real estate management company. The main objective of this thesis is to design and implement a web application reflecting needs of future users, which should make communication and information exchange within the company more effective and easier. After an application deployment it should become the primary communication channel in the organization. Apart from the design proposal and implementation of the application the thesis also shortly describes the problematics of real estate management in the Czech Republic. This is followed by an analysis of target user group and key application requirements. The thesis includes research of existing applications on the market including general solutions which could be used as well as special applications focusing on real estate management. Based on the research the most suitable solution was chosen and the proposal is created. The web application was programmed based on the proposal using PHP framework Laravel. Subsequently, the application was subjected to a user testing. The result of the bachelor’s thesis is a functional web application accessible via a web browser fulfilling all identified requirements and making communication and information exchange within the organization much easier and more effective. Key functionalities implemented in the application are article, event and frequently asked question administration, defect reporting, database with information about housing units and their owners, document and file sharing. This thesis might be beneficial not only to organizations facing and solving same problem, but also to developers implementing an application of same scope and topic using similar technologies.
