| Abstract: | Cílem práce je na příkladu Prahy zkoumat možnosti tvorby udržitelného veřejného prostoru, tak, aby se ve městě žilo všem obyvatelům lépe a zároveň město co nejméně zatěžovalo životní prostředí. Práce vychází z teorie města, veřejného prostoru, ale i z teorií udržitelného urbanismu. V rešerších jsou sledovány aktivity směřující k udržitelnosti i ostatních metropolí, zejména dánské Kodaně. Výzkum sleduje, zda je možné daná opatření přenést do českého prostředí a nakolik jde Praha v kodaňských šlépějích. Ve výzkumu je využita analýza rozhovorů s aktéry, kteří svými činnostmi veřejný prostor hlavního města přímo ovlivňují. Práce usiluje o komplexní analýzu prostředků, jak veřejný prostor tvořit udržitelněji k dosažení vyšší kvality městského plánování a kvality života všech obyvatel měst s ohledem na životní prostředí. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is on the example of the city of Prague to explore the possibilities of creating sustainable public space to make life better for all residents in the city and while the city places as little burden on the environment as possible. The thesis is based on the theory of the city, public space and on the theories of sustainable urbanism. In the thesis, activities aimed at sustainability are also monitored in other metropolises, especially in Copenhagen, Denmark. The research monitors whether it is possible to transfer the given measures to the Czech environment and to what extent Prague follows in Copenhagen’s footsteps. The research uses the analysis of interviews with professionals, whose activities directly influence the public space of Prague. The thesis seeks a comprehensive analysis of the means of creating public space more sustainably to achieve a higher quality of urban planning and the quality of life of all city residents with respect to the environment. |
