| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou měnové politiky v České republice a na Slovensku v letech 2013 až 2022. Cílem diplomové práce je na základě analýzy vývoje inflace a měnově-politických rozhodnutí potvrdit či vyvrátit úspěšnost plnění inflačního cíle v České republice a na Slovensku ve sledovaném období. Teoretická část práce vymezuje základní pojmy z oblasti problematiky měnové politiky a inflace. Dále je charakterizována obecná měnová politika v České republice a na Slovensku. Praktická část práce nejprve analyzuje vývoj vybraných makroekonomických ukazatelů v ČR a SR a měnově-politická rozhodnutí, která byla přijata příslušnými centrálními bankami. Práce zároveň analyzuje vývoj inflace a plnění inflačního cíle v obou státech ve sledovaném období. Na základě provedené analýzy lze plnění inflačního cíle v obou státech označit za převážně neúspěšné, neboť se ČNB a NBS, resp. ECB, zpravidla nedaří plnit jejich hlavní cíl, a tedy dosahovat cenové stability. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis examines the monetary policy in the Czech Republic and Slovakia between years 2013 and 2022. The aim of the diploma thesis is to verify or falsify the success of the inflation targeting in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the observed period, based on the analysis of the development of inflation and monetary policy decisions. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the fundamental terms in the field of monetary policy and inflation. Furthermore, the general monetary policy in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is featured. The practical part of the thesis first analyzes the development of selected macroeconomic indicators in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic and the monetary policy decisions taken by the relevant central banks. At the same time, the thesis analyzes the development of inflation and the fulfillment of the inflation target in both countries in the observed period. On the basis of the analysis carried out, the fulfillment of the inflation target in both countries can be evaluated as predominantly unsuccessful, as the CNB and the NBS, respectively the ECB, as a rule, fails to fulfill their main objective, i.e. to achieve price stability. |
