Redesign of conference website template

This bachelor thesis deals with the redesign of a conference website template. The main goal of the thesis is to create an alternative template to the current conference website template. The thesis first introduces the key terms, the methods used to achieve the goal of the thesis and presents identified shortcomings of the current template. The new template should be based on the shortcomings identified by the author from in-depth interviews with conference participants. Feedback from the in depth-interviews with conference participants was used as one part of the in-depth interviews with employees in the company where the author currently works. The platform Webflow was used to build the new template. Webflow represents an ideal alternative to the current way of creating websites and can lead to lower dependence on external suppliers for creating conference websites. The author hopes that by using this platform, more departments could be actively taking part in the creation and management of the websites. The Cognitive Walkthrough method was used to evaluate the orientation in the new template. The Cognitive Walkthrough method revealed several shortcomings of the new template and the new template was modified based on these shortcomings.
