| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vybraných žebříčků vysokých škol. Klade si za cíl identifikovat rozdíly a podobnosti mezi těmito žebříčky, charakterizovat školy, které se v nich umisťují, a podrobně analyzovat příslušné hodnotící systémy a indikátory, které žebříčky k hodnocení využívají. Práce se dělí na úvodní, teoretickou a analytickou část. Úvodní část práce představuje problematiku hodnocení vysokých škol a zasazuje ji do historického kontextu. Kromě toho úvod seznamuje čtenáře se zkoumanými žebříčky. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem užívaných statistických metod. Analytická část práce se nejprve věnuje charakteristice škol, které se v žebříčcích objevují. U vysokých škol zde zkoumá jejich geografickou polohu, velikost, zaměření a stáří. Její další sekce se poté zabývá analýzou indikátorů a jednotlivých systémů hodnocení. Tématu rozdílů a podobností mezi žebříčky se práce věnuje v obou těchto sekcích. Ke zkoumání práce využívá zejména míry polohy a variability, korelační koeficienty a regresní analýzu. Výsledky indikují poměrně velké rozdíly mezi systémy hodnocení. Drobnější odlišnosti mezi žebříčky se poté objevují mezi školami, které jsou v nich zastoupené. I indikátory kteréhokoli z žebříčků se navíc ve svém vlivu na celkové hodnocení značně různí. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis analyses selected university rankings. It aims to identify the differences and similarities between those rankings. It also tries to characterize the typical institutions included in university rankings and analyse the evaluation systems used by the rankings and their respective indicators. This thesis is divided into three parts: introductory, theoretical, and analytical. The introductory part of the work presents the issue of university rankings and puts it into a historical context. It also introduces the selected rankings. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the statistical methods used. The analytical part starts with characterizing the typical university included in the rankings. It looks at the location, size, focus, and age of the universities. After that, it tries to analyze the indicators and the evaluation systems. The differences and similarities between the rankings are examined throughout the analytical part. This thesis primarily relies on the measures of central tendency and variability, correlation coefficients and regression analysis. The results indicate significant differences in the evaluation systems among the rankings, with more minor differences in the universities that are included in them. The indicators and their influence on the rankings also vary a lot. |
