Creation of a website for Základní škola a mateřská škola Řehlovice

The school's website plays an important role in recruiting new students, but it also caters for the needs of the institution's current students. This is why new visitors need to find the site attractive, intuitive and it should entice new applicants to enrol. For the current students and their parents the site should contain easily accessible information regarding their studies. This bachelor's thesis consists of the creation of a website for the primary school Základní škola a mateřská škola Řehlovice, příspěvková organizace. It aims to design a suitable new site structure and then implement the site using CMS WordPress in combination a with custom template so that subsequent site management can be handed over to a representatives of the school. The thesis includes an analysis of the original website, an analysis of requirements included in terms of reference from the primary school and a survey that collected requests from parents of children who attend the school. Based on the analysis of the requirements a restructuring of the site's content was subsequently proposed, as well as a new custom template for WordPress. Subsequently, a functional web presentation was available at web.zsrehlovice.cz, which was tested by the User Testing qualitative method and Card Sorting method. The result of the work is a fully functional website available at zsrehlovice.cz, which has been put into operation. The site was subjected to a second round of error testing and correction.
