| Abstract: | Robotická procesní automatizace (dále jen RPA) je technologický fenomén, který zefektivňuje práci čím dál více lidí po celém světě. Ve světě robustních informačních systémů je vykonávání velkého množství nudných, opakujících se činností denním chlebem milionů administrativních pracovníků. RPA je technologie, která vykonávání těchto procesů automatizuje. Výsledkem je snížení chybovosti, zvýšení rychlosti zpracování i snížení nákladů. V kontextu teorie informačních systémů předkládám RPA jako samostatnou disciplínu, vymezuji její hranice a ukazuji její výhody a nevýhody. Dále tyto teoretické poznatky prověřuji praktickou analýzou přípravy a vyhodnocení automatizace vybraného podnikového procesu. V rámci této analýzy ověřuji funkčnost modelu pro výběr procesů pro automatizaci na základě jejich automatizačního potenciálu, komplikovanosti a FTE savingu. |

| Abstract: | Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technological phenomenon that is increasingly streamlining the work of people worldwide. In the world of robust information systems, the execution of a large number of tedious, repetitive tasks is the daily bread of millions of administrative workers. RPA is a technology that automates the execution of these processes. The result is a reduction in errors, an increase in processing speed, and cost savings. In the context of information systems theory, I present RPA as a distinct discipline, delineating its boundaries and showcasing its advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, I validate these theoretical insights through a practical analysis of the preparation and evaluation of the automation of a selected business process. Within this analysis, I verify the functionality of the process selection model based on its automation potential, complexity, and FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) savings. |
