Selected indicators that support the aim of the thesis include the total number of active foreigners in the Czech labor market, employment of foreigners by nationality, region, and gender. Factors influencing the number of active foreigners in the Czech labor market include average wage levels, GDP per capita, and unemployment. The result of the analysis shows that the number of active foreigners in the Czech labor market is increasing and will continue to increase in the following years. This main research question is supported by two hypotheses. Hypothesis H1: Higher wages motivate foreigners to work in the Czech Republic, and hypothesis H2: Foreigners working in the Czech Republic do not take jobs away from Czech citizens. Both of these hypotheses are verified within the scope of the thesis. The research utilizes data available from the databases of the Czech Statistical Office, and potentially the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. |
