Influence of the Merciful Summer on the private person

The Czech Republic has more than 6% of its inhabitants in execution. The Merciful Summer is an event in which debtors are forgiven ancillary of the claim if they pay the principal amount owed to a public entity within a predetermined period. The main goal of the thesis is to find out the influence of the Merciful Summer on individuals. In order to achieve this, a literature review was conducted together with in-depth interviews and a questionnaires. Interviews were conducted with people who personally have financial problems, or someone close to them has them. The questionnaire was focused on organizations involved in the Merciful Summer directly or indirectly. It involved non-profit organizations, health insurance companies, public transport companies, employers, cities and municipalities, regions, law enforcement authorities, and others. According to the information obtained, the Merciful Summer helped people whose debt was low or their only debt. For persons with numerous enforcement orders, the action was not a solution.
