| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit úroveň štíhlosti v nemocnicích poskytujících akutní péči v České republice. Zjištění poskytují přehled oblastí, kterým by tyto instituce měly věnovat úsilí ke zlepšení svých systémů procesů. Ve dvou úvodních kapitolách práce popisuje lean management, sektor zdravotnictví a potenciál jejich spojení. Ve třetí kapitole jsou popsány různé metody měření štíhlosti. V kapitole 4 jsou výsledky štíhlosti zjištěné za pomoci metody lean index, která je založená na dotazníkovém šetření s hodnocením na škále. České nemocnice dosahují úrovně štíhlosti 76 %, což naznačuje prostor pro další implementaci metod lean managementu. Práce identifikuje element neustálého zlepšování jako hlavní rozvojovou oblast českých nemocnic. Zároveň odhaluje příležitost mezioborového učení v oblasti zlepšování mezi chirurgickými a interními obory. Práce také popisuje praktické implikace výsledků a doporučení konkrétních metod pro české zdravotnictví. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to determine the level of leanness in acute care hospitals in the Czech Republic. The findings provide an overview of focus areas to improve their process systems. In the two introductory chapters, the thesis describes lean management, the healthcare sector and the potential of combining them. The third chapter describes different methods of measuring leanness. Chapter 4 presents the leanness results obtained using the lean index method, which is based on a questionnaire survey with a rating scale. Czech hospitals achieve a leanness level of 76%, which suggests room for further implementation of lean management methods. The paper identifies the element of continuous improvement as the main development area of Czech hospitals. It also reveals an opportunity for interdisciplinary learning in the area of improvement between surgical and internal medicine. Thesis provides the practical implications of the results and recommendations of specific methods for the Czech healthcare sector. |
