| Abstract: | Diplomová práce pojednává o vývoji minimální mzdy v České republice a v členských státech Evropské unie v letech 2013-2023 a následně se věnuje ověření hypotézy týkající se vlivu navyšování minimální mzdy na míru nezaměstnanosti nízkokvalifikovaných pracovníků v České republice. V úvodu se práce zaměřuje na teoretické vymezení minimální mzdy, její vývoj, funkce a mechanismy utváření. Část práce je také věnována schválené směrnici Evropského parlamentu a Rady o přiměřených minimálních mzdách a jejím možným dopadům na českou ekonomiku, na základě kterých lze očekávat vyšší meziroční nárusty minimální mzdy, než tomu bylo doposud. Pomocí provedené korelační analýzy byla potvrzena hypotéza, že navyšování minimální mzdy nemá významný vliv na míru nezaměstnanosti. Závěrečná kapitola je věnována aktuální problematice rostoucí inflace v Evropské unii a jejím následkům, které reflektují snižování kupní síly pracujících. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the development of the minimum wage in the Czech Republic and in the EU Member States in the period 2013-2023 and then it is devoted to the testing of the hypothesis concerning the impact of the minimum wage increase on the unemployment rate of low-skilled workers in the Czech Republic. In the introduction, the thesis focuses on the theoretical definition of the minimum wage, its development, functions and mechanisms of its formation. Part of the thesis is also devoted to the approved Directive of the European Parliament and the Council on adequate minimum wages and its possible impact on the Czech economy, on the basis of which higher annual increases in the minimum wage can be expected than has been the case so far. The hypothesis that minimum wage increases do not have a significant effect on the unemployment rate was confirmed by means of a correlation analysis. The final chapter is devoted to the current issue of rising inflation in the European Union and its consequences, which reflect the declining purchasing power of workers. |
