| Abstract: | Cílem této závěrečné práce je analyzovat změny, kterými v posledních letech prochází moderní pětiboj. Práce má poskytnout vhled do historie tohoto sportu a rovněž do jeho aktuálního dynamického vývoje. Práce se zaměřuje především na změny pravidel v posledních čtyřech olympijských cyklech, zmiňuje však také nové formáty, ve kterých se již soutěží. Věnuje se především nahrazení jízdy na koni překážkovou disciplínou. Na empirickou první část práce navazuje praktická část, kterou tvoří dotazníky se členy české pětibojařské komunity, a následná SWOT analýza současného stavu moderního pětiboje. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to analyze the changes that modern pentathlon has undergone in recent years. The work is intended to provide insight into the history of this sport as well as into its current dynamic development. The work mainly focuses on rule changes in the last four Olympic cycles, but also mentions new formats in which competition is already taking place. It is mainly dedicated to replacing horse riding with an obstacle discipline. The empirical first part of the thesis is followed by the practical part, which consists of questionnaires with members of the Czech pentathlon community, and a subsequent SWOT analysis of the current state of modern pentathlon. |
