| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl analyzovat finanční a obchodní situaci společnosti Bohemia Energy entity, porovnat ji se srovnávacími skupinami, identifikovat společné atributy a potenciální důvody úpadku a následně navrhnout řešení. Hlavní použitou metodou je finanční analýza doplněná o analýzu energetického trhu a obchodního modelu společnosti. Pro finanční analýzu byla použita data z účetních závěrek z let 2018 – 2021. Finanční analýzou bylo zjištěno, že společnost byla v rámci rentability a provozní marže podprůměrná v porovnání se srovnávacími skupinami. Klíčovou součásti obchodním modelu společnosti byla spekulace na pokles cen energií na burze, díky které bylo možné poskytovat nízké ceny zákazníkům. Tyto faktory v kombinaci s rapidním nárůstem cen energií v roce 2021 byli jedním z hlavních příčin úpadku společnosti. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to analyse the financial and business situation of Bohemia Energy entity, to compare it with comparative groups, to identify common attributes and potential reasons for bankruptcy and then to propose a solution. The main method used is financial analysis supplemented by an analysis of the energy market and the company's business model. Data from the 2018-2021 financial statements were used for the financial analysis. The financial analysis found that the company was below average in terms of profitability and operating margin compared to the peer groups. A key component of the company's business model was speculating on the decline in energy prices on the stock market, which enabled it to provide low prices to customers. These factors, combined with the rapid increase in energy prices in 2021, were one of the main reasons for the company's bankruptcy. |
