Bachelor´s thesis on the topic "Implementation of EDI communication with suppliers in company Budějovický Budvar, n. p." focuses on the process of creating the concept of EDI solution for the brewery Budějovický Budvar, n. p. The thesis defines the terms associated with EDI, describes the individual phases of the project, the possibilities of EDI communication, UN/EDIFACT and EANCOM standards and their message types. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the current process of communication with suppliers in the company and subsequently to elaborate the concept of EDI solution. This goal is achieved in two steps. It also defines requirements for data protection, labelling of goods and organisational changes. This section also includes a plan of technical implementation, acceptance tests, pilot run, along with listed costs associated with both the implementation and subsequent operation of EDI. The thesis concludes with a summary of the EDI solution concept, a plan for connecting other business partners to EDI, and a suggestion for how the enterprise might expand the EDI solution in the future.
