| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit a následně porovnat hospodaření dvou vybraných měst Slovenské a České republiky. Teoretická část charakterizuje oblasti, které jsou důležité pro provedení analýzy hospodaření, a to účetnictví, rozpočet, kontrola a audit subjektů veřejné správy. Zároveň definuje oblasti, metody a ukazatele vhodné k posouzení finanční situace měst a obcí. Před samotnou analýzou jsou v teoretické části charakterizována vybraná města. V praktické části je na základě teoretických poznatků zpracovaná analýza hospodaření vybraných měst za období 2017–2021, zaměřená na přezkoumání dat z rozpočtových a účetních výkazů. V závěru praktické části je uvedeno shrnutí a porovnání výsledků analýzy spolu s doporučeními pro obě města. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate and compare the financial situation of two municipalities of the Czech and Slovak Republic. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Firstly, the theoretical part characterizes the crucial components of financial analysis, such as accounting, budgeting, control, and audit for public sector entities. It also defines suitable areas, methods, and indicators for assessing the financial situation of municipalities, as well as key characters of those selected cities. In the practical part, based on theoretical knowledge, an analysis of selected municipalities for the period 2017–2021 is performed. Analysis is focused on the examination of data from budget and accounting statements. The practical section concludes with a summary and comparison of the results from the financial analysis, together with a recommendation for both cities. |
