The master’s thesis analyses and compares selected factors influencing the mortgage market in Czech Republic and Great Britain. Firstly, important terms are introduced and explained. Firstly, important terms are introduced and explained. Given the importance a qualitative view is created on current issues such as high inflation, affordability of housing and the difference of the mortgage products and interest rates in both countries. In the second part, selected factors are compared for both economies and hypothesis of the expected relations between selected factor and the mortgage market are established based on the trends of time series. The last part is purely quantitative, using linear regression for approval or denial of hypothesis created in second part. The goal of the thesis is to find and compare main determinants of the mortgage market in Czech Republic and Great Britain. |
