| Abstract: | V diplomové práci budu analyzovat vztah kvality patentového portfolia a výkonnosti společnosti, přičemž se zaměřím na hledání kauzality mezi růstem tržní hodnoty společnosti a jejích patentů. Budu zkoumat, jak jednotlivé události spojené s udělováním, obnovou a citací patentů mají vliv na hodnotu společnosti. Tuto analýzu podpořím praktickou částí, ve které se zaměřím na farmaceutickou společnost zabývající se zdravím zvířat. Rovněž zde přistoupím k fundamentální analýze akcií vybrané společnosti. Jednotlivé části této práce nakonec shrnu a vyhodnotím, jaký skutečný vliv měly patentové informace na hodnotu a výkonnost společnosti. |

| Abstract: | In my diploma thesis, I will analyze the relationship between the quality of the patent portfolio and company performance, while I will focus on finding causalities between the growth of the company's market value and its patents. I will examine how individual patent grants, renewal, and citation events affect company value. I will support this analysis with a practical part focusing on an animal health pharmaceutical company. I will also proceed to the fundamental analysis of the shares of the selected company. The individual parts of this work finally summarize and evaluate the actual effect that patent information had on the value and performance of the company. |
