| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je poukázat na historický vývoj základních platebních nástrojů. V práci se zkoumají jednotlivé bezhotovostní platební nástroje za posledních 20 let. Analýza jednotlivých statistických dat popisuje vývoj jak v ČR, tak i v EU a ve světě. Zkoumaní dále zahrnuje vývoj hotovostních nástrojů, jejich významnost a využívanost v současní době. Řešené jsou také jednotlivé faktory, které mají vliv na využívaní platebních instrumentů. Výsledek analýzy poukázal na to, že Česka republika má dominantní postavení v oblasti platebních karet. ČR se dokázala rychleji transformovat na modernější způsob plateb. V zemích, jako je Francouzko nebo Německo, probíhá až v současnosti konec revoluce v placení. Tento trend zaznamenalo Česko již přibližně před 10 lety. Zkoumaní dále odhalilo, jak se chovali Češi během pandemie. Oproti zbytku EU se neprojevil až takový šok v rámci platby hotovostí, jaký nastal v jiných zemích. Hlavním významem práce je objasnění situace ČR ve světě plateb. |

| Abstract: | The purpose of this thesis is to highlight the historical development of basic payment instruments. The thesis examines individual non-cash payment instruments over the last 20 years. The analysis of individual statistical data focuses on the Czech Republic, the EU, and the world. The examination also includes the evolution of cash instruments, its relevance and usage in the present time. Individual factors that influence the use of payment instruments are also addressed. The result of the analysis shows that the Czech Republic is dominant in the field of payment cards. It has also been able to transform faster to a more modern payment method. Countries as France and Germany are only now at the end of the revolution in payments in which stage the Czech Republic was about 10 years ago. The research also revealed how Czechs behaved during the pandemic. Compared to the rest of the EU, there was not as a big shock in cash payments as in other countries. The main significance of the thesis is to clarify the situation of the Czech Republic in the world of payments. |
