Working capital management focusing on the automotive segment during the financial crisis in the Czech Republic

Formou testování statistických hypotéz popisujeme změny v řízení pracovního kapitálu v automobilovém průmyslu České republiky. Zaměřujeme se na změny v řízení, které si vyžádal nástup pandemie koronaviru. Práce se skládá ze tří kapitol. V první kapitole uvádíme teoretická východiska. Ve druhé kapitole popisujeme vývoj na trhu osobních automobilů. V poslední kapitole uvádíme hypotézy, postupy jejich analýzy a také závěry. Naše analýza ukazuje, že pandemie významně ovlivnila řízení pracovního kapitálu. Zejména identifikujeme změny v oblastech řízení zásob a řízení hotovosti.

We use the form of statistical hypothesis testing to describe changes in working capital management in the automotive industry of the Czech Republic. We focus on the management changes necessitated by the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, we provide the theoretical background. Chapter 2 describes developments in the passenger car market. In the last section, we present the hypotheses, the procedures of their analysis, and the conclusions. Our analysis shows that the pandemic has significantly affected working capital management. In particular, we identify changes in the areas of inventory management and cash management.
