| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je komplexní rozbor ukazatele EBITDA. V práci hodnotím vypovídací schopnost ukazatele a ukazuji, jak je vnímán veřejností. Věnuji se jeho výhodám i úskalím, zodpovídám stanovené výzkumné otázky a zmiňuji, k čemu je ukazatel užitečný. Zhodnocení ukazatele je demonstrováno na příkladech konkrétních firem kvantitativní formou, tedy výpočtem z veřejně dostupných dat a modelací na fiktivně zvolených hodnotách firem. Pro účely analýzy využívám situací, kdy se firma rozdělila na více společností a následným modelováním demonstruji, jak se hodnota ukazatele změní před a po rozdělení společnosti. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the EBITDA indicator. In my work, I evaluate the indicator's informative ability and show how it is perceived in public. I address its advantages and pitfalls, answer set of research questions and mention what is the indicator useful for. The evaluation of the indicator is demonstrated on the examples of specific companies in a quantitative form, i.e. by calculation from publicly available data and from modeling on fictional values of companies. For the purposes of the analysis, I use situations where a company split into several companies, and with subsequent modeling I demonstrate how the value of the indicator changes before and after the company split. |
