The enhancement of data reporting for the Warranty department of Skoda Auto

The primary goal of this master thesis is to enhance the capabilities of reporting in the Warranty department of Škoda Auto. This goal consists of several partial tasks, which are the analysis of the current state of the defined issues, the creation of requested solutions and their modifications based on feedback from assignors and users. The creation of the new reports will also help optimize the departments’ processes, not only by supplying the means for data-driven decision making, but also by reducing the necessity for manual operations by employees using automatization. Two out of the three newly functional dashboards are created in the tool SAP Lumira Designer, while the third dashboard is implemented in Power BI. Apart from providing additional insights, the new dashboards also widen the user base for this data. Also, an automatized Excel file is created, for the purpose of reducing the necessity of manual inputs by employees while they work on one of their regular agendas. While solving the defined problems, the author of this thesis followed methodology for creating Business Intelligence solutions. Based on this methodology an introductory study was created first, assessing the present state of the individual issues. Solutions were then consequently designed based on this study. The following chapter describes the validation and feedback processes regarding the newly created solutions. The last part of the thesis describes the implementation of the solution itself and the related implications of the newly created solutions.
