| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je prozkoumat vliv řady ekonomických a sociálně demografických faktorů na nezaměstnanost v zemích Evropské unie. Prakticky se práce zabývá ekonometrickou analýzou dynamiky obecné míry nezaměstnanosti v České republice a ve Španělsku. V teoretické části práce jsou nejprve vymezeny pojmy související s nezaměstnaností, popsány její jednotlivé druhy a dopady na společnost. Dále jsou uvedeny jednotlivé faktory a jejich funkce v kontextu nezaměstnanosti. Konkrétně je popsán vztah mezi mírou nezaměstnanosti a hrubým domácím produktem a Okunův zákon, míra inflace a Phillipsova křivka a další faktory: úroveň vzdělání obyvatelstva, míra industrializace země, velikost ekonomicky aktivního obyvatelstva, minimální mzda, globální krize v roce 2008 a pandemie COVID-19. V praktické části je pak představena dynamika míry nezaměstnanosti ve zkoumaných zemích. Poté je popsán proces úpravy použitých časových řad do podoby vhodné pro regresní modelování. Vliv vybraných faktorů je vyhodnocen pomocí regresních rovnic a odhadu jejich parametrů metodou nejmenších čtverců. Použity jsou čtvrtletní časové řady všech ukazatelů od roku 2000 do roku 2022. Kvalita odhadnutých modelů je testována pomocí testů uvedených v teoretické části. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the impact of a number of economic and socio-demographic factors on unemployment in the European Union countries. Practically, the thesis deals with an econometric analysis of the dynamics of the general unemployment rate in the Czech Republic and Spain. The theoretical part of the thesis first defines the concepts related to unemployment, describes its different types and its impact on society. Then, the individual factors and their functions in the context of unemployment are presented. In particular, the relationship between unemployment rate and gross domestic product and Okun's law, inflation rate and Phillips curve are described, as well as other factors: the level of education of the population, the level of industrialization of the country, the size of the economically active population, the minimum wage, the global crisis of 2008 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Then the process of adjusting the used time series into a form suitable for regression modelling is described. The influence of the selected factors is evaluated by means of regression equations and estimation of their parameters by the ordinary least squares method. The quarterly time series of all indicators from 2000 to 2022 are used. The quality of the estimated models is tested using the tests presented in the theoretical section. |
