| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá železniční nákladní dopravou a jejím hodnocením ve vybraných evropských státech. Indikátory železniční nákladní dopravy budou následně porovnány a zhodnoceny výzkumnou metodou benchmarking. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak velké rozdíly ve výkonnosti a efektivnosti jsou mezi železniční nákladní přepravou v České republice, a jinými státy z různých koutů Evropy. Autorka se také bude zabývat tvrzením, zda se bude význam železničního transportu do budoucna zvyšovat či snižovat, a co by mohla Česká republika udělat pro to, aby byl její železniční transport konkurenceschopnější a obecně efektivnější. První kapitola práce je věnována obecnému významu železniční dopravy v Evropě, a jsou zde zmíněny plány a okolnosti, které by evropské železnice mohly ovlivnit do budoucna, ale také dopravní úmluvy, které tento typ transportu formovaly v minulosti. Ve druhé části práce je hlouběji představena železniční situace v každém z vybraných států, a kapitola třetí je zasvěcena závěrečnému benchmarkingu. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis deals with railway freight transport and its evaluation in selected European countries. The indicators of railway freight transport will then be compared and evaluated using the benchmarking research method. The aim of the work is to find out how big the differences in performance and efficiency are between railway freight transport in the Czech Republic and other countries from different parts of Europe. The author will also deal with the statement whether the importance of railway transport will increase or decrease in the future, and what the Czech Republic could do to make its railway transport more competitive and generally more efficient. The first chapter of the thesis is devoted to the general importance of railway transport in Europe, and plans and circumstances that could affect European railways in the future, as well as transport conventions that shaped this type of transport in the past. In the second part of the work, the railway situation in each of the selected states is presented in more depth, and the third chapter is dedicated to the final benchmarking. |
