| Abstract: | The thesis examines how the British and West German governments of the 1980s attempted to address the problem of inflation through their respective monetary and fiscal policies. It evaluates the effectiveness of both countries' responses while also highlighting some of the notable consequences for the economies of both countries. The thesis concludes that both countries were largely successful in reducing inflation, but West German policies were more effective. |

| Abstract: | Práce zkoumá, jak se britská a západoněmecká vláda v 80. letech pokoušely řešit problém inflace prostřednictvím své měnové a fiskální politiky. Hodnotí účinnost reakcí obou zemí a zároveň zdůrazňuje některé významné důsledky pro ekonomiky obou zemí. Práce dochází k závěru, že obě země byly z velké části úspěšné ve snižování inflace, ale západoněmecká politika byla efektivnější. |
